A nose that is out of balance can leave you feeling very self-conscious about your appearance. This could be related to any number of issues, including an unappealing shape, size or angle or a nose that bends out of symmetry. Here at Cascade Cosmetic Surgery Center and Medical Spa, our cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Trenton C. Jones, M.D., often recommends a nose reshaping treatment to address these issues.
Also known as a rhinoplasty, the invasiveness of nose reshaping will vary depending on the nature of the imperfections and the amount of adjustment you prefer.
There are two general techniques that can be employed. An open rhinoplasty is performed from the exterior of the nose. This is likely to be the course of treatment if the cosmetic imperfections are related to the soft tissue areas of the nose.
An endonasal involves adjustment to the interior of the nose. This is more likely to be the course of treatment if the cosmetic imperfections of your nose are related to structural issues. It might also be called for to address any issues that limit your breathing or the healthy passage of air.
Cartilage grafts and fat transfer augmentations might also be called for to affect the overall shape or structure of the nose.
If you are unhappy with the shape, slope, size or overall appearance of your nose, you should call Cascade Cosmetic Surgery Center and Medical Spa at 801-762-8989 to ask about nose reshaping in Utah County, Utah.
