Wrinkle Reduction (Injectable Dermal Fillers)

Wrinkle Reduction consists of several different in-office procedures that can temporarily diminish a person's wrinkles in the same amount of time that it takes to eat lunch.  Various options exist to treat wrinkles, including Botox and injectable dermal fillers.  Injectable dermal fillers are non-surgical cosmetic procedures designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fill in depressions in the skin, and augment the lips.    The main fillers Dr. Jones uses are Restylane, Radiesse, and collagen.

BOTOX®

Are you considering getting Botox, but are concerned about how it might feel? Or have you had Botox before, but are reluctant to get it again because of the discomfort? Fear no more! When Dr. Jones performs your Botox injections, not only do you get a highly trained expert to sculpt your face, but our unique cooling system makes the experience pain free.

Botox is a drug that blocks nerve transmission and relaxes the underlying muscles, thus not allowing the muscles to tense up and cause wrinkles.  When injected, it blocks the nerve impulses to the facial muscles responsible for the contraction, thus relaxing the muscles and smoothing facial lines.  It is most effective on frown lines, crow's feet around the eyes, lines between the eyebrows (Glabella), or forehead lines.  The treatment takes about 30 minutes and will result in fewer wrinkles for four to six months.  The results can be seen in one day or can take up to two weeks.

Following the treatment patients can go back to work immediately that same day, but might experience temporary bruising, swelling, numbness and headaches.  Avoiding Aspirin related products, Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS, St. Johns Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E, two weeks prior to the injection will help lessen any bruising or bleeding.

Restylane

Restylane is safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.  It is the first filler made of non-animal based Hyaluronic acid.  Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin.  The Hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal-clear gel called NASHAT, or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid.  NASHA is fully biocompatible with the human Hyaluronic acid, thus no allergy testing is required.

The results are long lasting, six months or sometimes longer, but not permanent.  This allows you to have the option of continuing or changing the combination of treatments.  Following your treatment, you may experience temporary minor redness, swelling, and sometimes bruising that may last for seven days or less.  Most patients can go back to work right after the treatment and cover any redness up with makeup.  Avoiding Aspirin related products, Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS, St. Johns Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E, two weeks prior to the injection will help lessen any bruising or bleeding.

Radiesse

Radiesse is facial filler that delivers a longer lasting result. The unique composition of hydroxylapetite forms a scaffold through which your body's own collagen grows, and this produces the desired long-term effect.  Results can last from 12 to 24 months, sometimes even longer depending on the patient and the area injected.

Juvederm

Juvederm, like Restylane, is a safe, natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.  It is the also made of non-animal based Hyaluronic acid.  Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin.  When Dr. Jones injects it under the skin to restore volume and smooth away facial wrinkles. It is often used in the "smile lines" or "parentheses" (the creases the run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). The results are long lasting, and Juvederm is the only Hyaluronic acid filled FDA approved to last up to one year in some people. Dr. Jones attends to each patient personally so you can rest assured that you will have exquisite smooth and natural result done by an expert.
