Microdermabrasion

neck 1

Over the course of an average day the upper layers of your skin cells are shed through a natural process known as exfoliation. This effectively stimulates the production of new, healthy skin cells, thus rejuvenating your skin’s youthful appearance.

The process of aging often results in a loss of new collagen formation in the deep layers of the dermis. Using retinol fortified creams and other products stimulates the natural exfoliation process of your skin which in turn also stimulates new collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. This effectively results in a slight thickening and tightening of the skin on the face which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and some of the other effects of skin aging.

If you have used retinol and Retin-A fortified cream in the past and you weren’t satisfied with the results, you should ask Cascade Cosmetic Surgery Center and Medical Spa about a microdermabrasion procedure.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons estimates that over 970,000 microdermabrasion procedures are performed each year.

The microdermabrasion performed at Cascade Cosmetic Surgery Center and Medical Spa uses a small glass tube lined with fine aluminum oxide crystals and a gentle amount of suction to pull skin cells from your face or hands to be exfoliated. This helps to remove aging or dead skin cells, sun spots, fine wrinkles and lines and stimulates the growth of new healthy cells in the dermis.

Microdermabrasion can also help to improve skin texture while also reducing the size of your pores to help improve acne issues.

If you are interested in microdermabrasion, you should call Cascade Cosmetic Surgery Center and Medical Spa at 801-762-8989 to schedule an appointment.
