The daily battle for men and women of removing unwanted facial and/or body hair has a new ally. Laser hair removal is an easy, safe, and affordable way to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair. A series of treatments, done only once every 4-6 weeks, can take the place of the frequent need for shaving, waxing, or plucking.  We offer the most advanced cooling system for your comfort and a painless experience.  As a matter of course, all of our machines are FDA approved and all of our laser technicians are trained and certified in the latest laser hair removal techniques. The Cynosure's Elite Aesthetic laser removes unwanted hair with unsurpassed efficacy and client comfort.  Since it's designed for all skin types, you can treat the broadest range of clients. In addition, the system is optimized for effective treatment of facial and leg veins, as well as benign epidermal pigmentation problem.

How does it work?

To eliminate hair, the laser emits gentle pulses of energy that pass through the skin to the hair follicle. This energy is then absorbed into the hair follicle to destroy it so that particular hair follicle can never grow again.

Am I a viable candidate for laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is effective on all areas of the body and on all types of skin (even tanned or dark skin).

Does it hurt?
This is a completely safe treatment causing, at most, only minimal discomfort. Patients often say it feels similar to the snap of a rubber band. Slight redness or localized swelling can occasionally occur, but this usually subsides within the first 24 hours after treatment.

How many treatments are required?
Typically patients will see results in 4-6 treatments, though this number will vary based upon skin tone, hair color and several other factors. Dr. Jones and/or our laser certified master estheticians will talk to you about anything that may affect your individual results.

FACIAL AND LEG VEINS

Spider veins can appear on the face and legs, and can be very unsightly. There is help. New advances in cosmetic laser treatments can get rid of them once and for all. Cynosure laser technology is designed to diminish the appearance, and often totally eliminate leg and facial veins, while allowing for the most comfortable treatment. Usually one to two treatments is recommended.

LASER FACIAL, SUN SPOTS, AGE SPOTS, FRECKLES

If you are an active person, chances are you spend more than your fair share of time in the sun, and if you are over thirty, you are more than likely to show signs of premature aging due to sun damage. With our facial skin treatments, you can now treat sun spots, freckles, and your overall skin texture, thus giving you a more revitalized appearance and helping to turn back the clock. The laser facial is a non-surgical, skin rejuvenation treatment which will generate new collagen and improve the appearance and texture of your skin.

How does it work?
Laser facial skin treatments work, by directing a beam of light to an irregularity in the skin, such as enlarged blood vessels or irregular coloration. This removes the abnormality without scarring or damage, while stimulating collagen production to tighten the surrounding tissue, resulting in improved skin texture and reduced signs of aging.

How does this treatment differ from chemical peels and dermabrasion?
Unlike other treatments that remove an outer layer of skin and require significant healing time, laser treatment works by gently penetrating the skin to destroy the underlying vessels and pigment that are the cause of the problem. The outer skin itself is not damaged.

Is the treatment painful?
The treatment causes only minimal discomfort and any initial soreness is easily alleviated with a cold air cooling system.

How many treatments are required?
Typically several sessions are required for full-face treatment. The average treatment takes about 15 - 20 minutes. Results may be seen after the first few treatments. The treatment can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of topical anesthetics or gel.

How long does recovery take?
You'll be able to return to normal activities immediately, though sunscreen should be applied as a post-treatment precaution.

MEDICAL GRADE MICRODERMABRASION

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, mini-procedure that involves exfoliating the skin using a highly controlled spray of aluminum oxide crystals to remove the outer layer of skin. An intense localized suction purges your pores of bacteria, blackheads, oil deposits, and the top layer of dead, dry skin called the stratum corneum. Microdermabrasion also promotes the production of new skin cells in the basal (deepest) layer of the dermis. It cleanses your pores and helps to hinder any future break outs, if done on a regular basis.  Microdermabrasion also stimulates collagen growth which helps to even out skin texture and appearance. With multiple treatments, Microdermabrasion can also fade sunspots, age spots, scarring, fine lines, and wrinkles. Microdermabrasion has been branded with the cosmetic nickname, the "lunch-time" peel, because it can be performed in a short period of time, such as a lunch break, and patients can return immediately to their daily routine, including applying makeup.

Are You a Candidate For Microdermabrasion?
The best candidates for Microdermabrasion are individuals with acne prone skin, blotchy skin, small scars, large pores, or milia (tiny cysts that appear like white beads below the surface of the skin).  If you have sun damage or uneven textured skin and would like to improve the condition and texture of your skin.

CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels are acidic solutions that are applied on the affected area(s) of the skin. The solution acts on the outermost skin layers causing them to disintegrate and peel away to reveal the new underlying, and unaffected skin.

Chemical Peels for Acne treatment

There are different types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to deep penetration, depending on the severity of your acne or acne scars. Mild peels consist of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), or Salicylic Acid. No matter what your needs, a chemical peel can work wonders, especially when combined with good home skin care.

Acne is a skin condition, which manifests itself as plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), inflamed pimples (pustules), and deeper lumps (nodules). Acne lesions are most common on the face, but they can also occur on the neck, chest, back, shoulders, scalp, upper arms, and legs. Most people are able to manage their acne with over-the-counter treatments. Unfortunately for some, acne can be more serious. Close to 100% of females and males between 12-17 years, have at least experienced an occasional whitehead, blackhead, or pimple. In fact, in the United States, 40% of adolescents by their mid-teens have acne severe enough to require some treatment by a physician. Due to the high demand for an effective treatment, the cosmetic industry has been developing many advantageous ways to combat acne. One of the most effective ways to combat acne is by the use of chemical peels.

Chemical Peels for Aging and Damaged Skin

Lactic Acid peels are recommended for mature skin, hyper- pigmentation, and are also recommended for patients with darker skin tones.

Physician Strength AHA peels are excellent for all acne, rosacea, and pigmentation challenged skin colors.

Jessner peels contain 14% salicylic acid, which oxygenates and detoxifies the skin, 14% Lactic Acid, which provides superior exfoliation, and is also highly effective in both reducing and preventing hyper-pigmentation, and 14% resorcinol, which is an antibacterial and antiseptic agent, and also deters oil production.

Permanent Makeup

Permanent cosmetic makeup is an aesthetic procedure similar to tattooing, designed to benefit anyone who wishes to have a natural enhancement to their appearance without the daily application of makeup. Some of the other names this process is known by include micro pigmentation, demographics, or micro pigment implantation. It can be used for eyebrows, upper and lower eyeliner, eyelash enhancement, lip lines, full lip color, scar camouflage, beauty marks, or as an imitation of hair. Many people also choose permanent makeup for hiding burns, covering scars following surgery, replacing pigment lost from vitiligo, reconstructing an areola following a mastectomy, or redefining weak facial features.

Many people also choose permanent makeup for hiding burns, covering scars following surgery, replacing pigment lost from vitiligo, reconstructing areolas, or redefining weak facial features. It is especially beneficial for people who suffer from makeup allergies and cannot wear traditional cosmetics.

During cosmetic implantation, tiny individual implants of pigment are deposited into the dermal layer of the skin. There are several methods used today, including the traditional tattoo machines, the pen or rotary machine, and the manual or hand method.

Because of the nature of the permanent cosmetics procedure, some patients may experience some discomfort according to their pain tolerance. There are ways of reducing discomfort which you must discuss with the professional who is performing your permanent makeup.
